Pancakes

Pancakes are great for breakfast. And I can't think of anybody that doesn't like them. But there are many different regional recipes out there, like American pancakes, crêpes or German Pfannkuchen. Pfannkuchen are bigger and not as fluffy as American pancakes while crêpes are almost too thin for my taste. This recipe is for American pancakes. They turn out great! And the measurements are perfect for two persons, or if you're really hungry, you might want to eat them all on your own!

They are also not too sweet which is great because then you don't have to hold yourself back with the toppings! A popular topping in Germany is a mixture of sugar and cinnamon or a king of apple sauce. My boyfriend likes them with honey, I prefer strawberry or rasberry jam.

Potatoe Salad

I like potatoe salads, but the store-bought ones usually contain way too much mayonnaise. This recipe is inspired by the potatoe salad that my boyfriend's father always prepares. I've never seen anyone put curry powder in the dressing before! But it tastes very good.
