Quick Snack Tip - Vegan Croissants

So today's post cannot really be called a recipe, as it only consists of two ingredients :D But it is superdelicious and you need absolutely no cooking or baking skills to do this. I also discovered by accident that the puff pastry that is sold here is vegan, as it can sometimes contain milk or butter, but this one doesn't. So you need to check the ingredients to make sure it's vegan (if you care about that). 

So here they are: vegan croissants with jelly filling.

Ingredients (makes 4 croissants):

1/3 package store-bought ready-made puff pastry 
4 teaspoons jelly (any kind you like, I used blackcurrant jelly)

Preheat the oven to 220°C/ 425°F. Cut the pastry so that you end up with about 1/3 of the package. Cut this in half and cut each half in half again, so that you end up with 4 triangles. Place a teaspoon of jelly on each triangle. Make sure that you don't use too much filling, as it will then start to run out of the croissant once it's in the oven. Start rolling from the longest side and press the roll together. Twist and curl the tails. 

Place them on a baking rack which is covered with baking paper. Lighlty brush the croissant with water. 

Put them in the oven for 15-20 minutes until they start to turn golden brown, 

Let them cool or eat them straigt out of the oven, but don't burn yourself :)

These were so delicious that I made a second batch on the same day so my boyfriend could take them to work today. They can also be filled with cream cheese, cheese and bacon, pesto or whatever you like.
